A family estate in the Baixo Alentejo, southern Portugal — set between the towns of Vidigueira and Cuba, where ancient clay-vessel winemaking and a modern, sustainable vision come together in every bottle.
The story of Herdade do Rocim began in the year 2000, when the family’s investment in wine took root on a roughly 120-hectare property between Vidigueira and Cuba in the Baixo Alentejo — around 70 hectares of it planted to vine.
The estate works closely with its land — tending native Portuguese grape varieties alongside international ones, and farming with respect for the surrounding ecosystem.

Rocim is known for keeping alive the Alentejo’s centuries-old tradition of vinho de talha — wine made in large clay vessels, a practice with roots stretching back to Roman times.
Sustainability sits at the heart of how Rocim farms and makes wine. Tended by viticulturist Catarina and crafted by winemaker Pedro, the wines are prized for their freshness and sense of origin — so much so they have been called an “oasis of origin.”
“To speak of Rocim’s story is to speak of a dream — and a dream has no end.”Herdade do Rocim · Baixo Alentejo
